email notification if value drops or raises

Alexander Lorenz-2
hello,

i would like to have more possibilities concerning the email notifications:

- threshold (absolute and percentile) of rules compliance and coverage
drop or raise, at which to send a mail (ideally for every measure the
alert functionality uses)

- possibility to filter projects

basically, a little like the jenkins mail function.

are there any plans for something like that?

cheers

alex

Hi Alex,

- threshold (absolute and percentile) of rules compliance and coverage drop or raise, at which to send a mail (ideally for every measure the alert functionality uses)

I guess this need relates to http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SONAR-1352 but you also like to use the "or" logical operator when defining an alert, for instance :

if diff(coverage, during 7 last days) > 5% or < 5% raise an alert

is my understanding correct ?

- possibility to filter projects

In fact perhaps you'd like to create your own alert formula and attach those formula to your own list of projects. In that case, that would mean that we should stop attaching the alerts definition to a quality profile and perhaps we should merge the concept of alters and filters.

How do you filter projects with Jenkins to get some alerts only on those filtered projects ?

Thanks
Freddy
